Are You Talking to Me?
When the voice deep inside
Tells me this shouldn’t be
Those words tell me no
God, are you talking to me?
When I start to go somewhere
And the ride seems to be free
I get that nagging feeling
God, are talking to me?
A friend from my past life
Calls for my company
By my recalling his ways
God, are you talking to me?
When the road is treacherous
And it’s not taken carefully
Fear comes with each step
God, are you talking to me?
When frustration over rides
My calmness and peace
A voice reprimands
God, are you talking to me?
When my feelings get hurt
And love I cannot see
Hearing “I love you so much”
God, are you talking to me?
Chains around the Heart
Chains around the heart not letting go
Of yesterday’s pain from what we have sown
Reaping sorrow from past deadly sins
Clinging to memories of where we’ve been
Chains around the heart keeping us safe
We think from more heartache, suffering and pain
Suffocating our feelings until they die
Preventing life’s horrors from making us cry
Chains around the heart keep Jesus out
So we cannot learn what His love is about
Sinking so far into that deep, black void
Unable to reach out the our Savior and Lord
Chains around our heart diminish our lives
Others can’t hurt us with their uncaring lies
If only we knew what do to ourselves
Each link the these chains leads us to hell
When the voice deep inside
Tells me this shouldn’t be
Those words tell me no
God, are you talking to me?
When I start to go somewhere
And the ride seems to be free
I get that nagging feeling

Mercy is Calling
For the children left all alone in this world,
Crying out loud and not to be heard.
What becomes of their souls when we look away?
Mercy is calling on our hearts today.
They see not the world as we do in kind,
We see joy, excitement, and good in our mind.
They see the darkness, misery and pain,
Mercy Is calling on us once again.
What becomes of this child living in fear?
Does anger replace the terror and tears?
Do we just keep living and try to forget it?
Mercy is calling to say we’ll regret it.
These children are one with our Creator.
Don’t put thoughts aside to think about later.
Our children are brothers and sisters Christ,
Mercy is calling to say help them with life!
They starve, they freeze, they hurt, they need.
We must give love and warmth, we must feed.
Their bodies shrivel, their spirits die,
Mercy is calling do not cast them aside.
They look to God for answers to why,
Everyone sees but just passes them by.
God cries at us from the Heavens above,
Mercy is calling! Mercy is calling! For love.
For the children left all alone in this world,
Crying out loud and not to be heard.
